Ideal Weather for Outdoor Activities in CDMX

Weather conditions will remain mostly dry in Mexico City and the State of Mexico, influenced by a cold air mass during the early hours of the day. Temperatures are expected to reach between 22 and 24 °C, resulting in a pleasant afternoon without extreme heat, ideal for outdoor activities.

The National Meteorological Service issued a forecast highlighting a mild to warm environment in the coming days, with clear skies and moderate temperatures. However, a temperature drop is forecasted for the morning and night due to the presence of an Arctic air mass associated with front number 24. In the high areas of the State of Mexico, frosts are expected due to low temperatures during the early hours of the day.

It is expected that the western and northwestern regions will experience moderate winds, with gusts of up to 40 km/h. Although the sky will be partly cloudy in the afternoon, no rain is expected in the region, which will allow temperatures to rise and the environment to become milder. The estimated minimum will be between 5 and 7 °C, reflecting the low temperatures at dawn and during the night.

In the State of Mexico, especially in higher altitude areas, even colder temperatures are expected, with chances of frost and temperatures near or below 0 °C in some areas. Winds could create a colder thermal sensation, especially in open or elevated areas, which is common this season in the afternoon hours.

On January 22, the formation of fog banks is anticipated in some areas of the Valley of Mexico, which could affect visibility in the early hours of the day. Drivers should take precautions against the cold mornings and possible fog banks that may occur.
